HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | South Alabama cross country runners Kirami Yego and Teagan Flanagan both recorded top-10 finishes in the men's 10K race Friday morning at the NCAA South Regional held at the John Hunt Cross Country Course and hosted by the University of North Alabama with assistance from the Huntsville Sports Commission and the City of Huntsville.
Yego (29:28.70) – who tied with Tennessee's Dylan Jacobs – earned an automatic advancement to the NCAA Championships meet held in Stillwater, Okla., next Saturday, while Flanagan's time of 2929:48.90 and 10th-place result position him for a possible at-large selection to the championship event.
