MOBILE, Ala. – After capturing the program's 19th Sun Belt Conference title last month, the University of South Alabama women's tennis program learned its postseason destination as the NCAA Championship's 64-team bracket was revealed on Monday evening.
The Jaguars (22-4, 10-1 SBC) earned the league's automatic bid after defeating UTA, 4-3 in the championship match, and will open up play against regional host and No. 16 national seed Florida (19-6, 10-3 SEC) on Saturday (May 7) at Linder Stadium at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis with first serve set for 1 p.m. (CT).
"This is a great opportunity to go against one of the most storied programs in women's tennis," South Alabama head coach Jaco Keyser said.
