South Alabama wide receiver Malik Stanley has been reinstated and will be eligible to play in today's game vs. Georgia Southern, the school announced Saturday.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Stanley, a senior, had been sitting out since mid-August for what was termed a non-football matter related to academics. The former junior-college transfer, totaled 27 receptions for 324 yards and three touchdowns in 2017.
Before his suspension, Stanley was expected to start at Z-receiver for the Jaguars. Junior Jordan McCray has started all five games in Stanley's place this season, catching 14 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown.
