South Alabama scored three times in the top of the 10th inning to knock off Troy 8-5 in the regular-season finale at Riddle-Pace Field.
With the victory, the Jaguars (30-23, 18-11 Sun Belt) avoided a series sweep and clinched the No. 4 seed for next week's conference tournament. The Trojans (38-18, 19-11) clinched the No. 3 seed by winning twice on Friday.
On Saturday, South Alabama surged ahead in the 10th after two Troy errors set up Brendan Donovan's bases-loaded walk and Wells Davis' two-run single. Chase Lambert then made the lead stand up by retiring the Trojans 1-2-3 in the bottom of the inning.
