Wells Davis and Travis Swaggerty both homered and four South Alabama pitchers combined on a two-hitter in a 7-3 victory at Louisiana on Saturday, snapping a six-game losing streak.
The Jaguars (8-7) go for the series win over the Ragin' Cajuns (6-8) at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The series does not count in the Sun Belt Conference standings.
On Saturday, USA snapped out of its offensive doldrums with 10 hits and seven walks against five Louisiana pitchers. The Jaguars used small ball -- a squeeze bunt by Carter Perkins and a sacrifice fly by Brendan Donovan to lead 2-0 before Davis' three-run homer in the fifth -- his third of the season -- broke the game open.
