Former University of South Alabama softball player Kaleigh Todd will begin her professional career later this month as she was the 33rd overall pick by moh-BEEL! USA in Wednesday's Inaugural American Softball Association Draft. Todd was the first pick in the ninth round.
Todd becomes the fifth player in program history to be drafted by a professional organization, joining former Jaguars Hannah Campbell (3rd overall - 2014 - Akron Racers), Farish Beard (33rd overall - Dallas Charge - 2015), Emily Messer (31st overall - Akron Racers - 2016) and Devin Brown (20th overall - Cleveland Comets - 2018), who were all selected by the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league.
