MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama is set to open fall camp on Friday morning, the second under head coach Kane Wommack, ahead of the season opener against Nicholls at home on September 3.
The Jaguars will hit the field at 10 am for the first practice of camp and return a wealth of talent on both sides of the football, mixed with a few newcomers who can make a difference this season. That will be the focus of Wommack from year one to year two.
"The role of a head coach transitions a lot from year one to year two in your program," he said at Sun Belt Conference Media Day.
