NEW ORLEANS | Both the South Alabama women's and men's cross country teams were recognized for their work in the classroom on Thursday as each program was named All-Academic Teams by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
All 13 of the league's programs on the women's side earned the distinction, while the Jaguar men were one of seven programs to do so.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
