Back home after a murderous three-game road swing, South Alabama took out its frustration on Alabama State.
The Jaguars routed the FCS-level Hornets 45-7 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Saturday, picking up their second victory of the year and first in 28 days. USA (2-5) totaled 396 yards of offense vs. Alabama State (2-4), scoring touchdowns on four straight possessions in the first half to break the game open.
"It was a great team win," South Alabama linebacker Bull Barge said. "We feel like we executed in all three phases -- offense, defense and special teams. As we saw, when we put it all together we get the right result.
