Mae Jemison senior defensive end Charles Coleman has committed to South Alabama.
His coach, Kelvis White, confirmed the commitment this morning.
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Coleman also had offers from Tulane and Western Kentucky.
Coleman was selected for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic as an injury replacement and he was named All-Huntsville Region second team. He recorded 63 tackles - 43 solo and 13 for a loss - and forced a fumble in 12 games this past season.
Coleman is South Alabama's 12th commitment for the 2018 class and the second unsigned member, along with Theodore defensive back Tyrone Hall.
