South Alabama opened its 2018 fall football camp on Friday, but the star of the day was the venue.
The Jaguars worked for the first time in their new multi-million-dollar Jaguar Training Center, billed as the largest covered practice facility in the state. The JTC was completed for use Thursday afternoon, just in time for USA to begin practice out of the late-afternoon sun.
"Today wasn't a scorcher outside, but we were able to get in a good practice in without being out in the Mobile heat," first-year Jaguars coach Steve Campbell said. "A lot of times when you practice this time of year, it's a hundred degrees with humidity.
