MOBILE, Ala. | Coming off an impressive weekend, the South Alabama softball team will look to carry the momentum with a midweek road contest against McNeese State on Tuesday Joe Miller Field at Cowgirl Diamond.
South Alabama (4-1) – currently riding a four-game win streak – posted a 4-1 record en route to capturing the Mardi Gras Classic title. The Jags dropped the opening game of the tournament, 3-1 to Missouri State on Friday, but bounced back with four-straight wins tossing back-to-back five-inning, no-hitters over Mississippi Valley State (9-0) and Missouri State (10-0), and then a pair of victories over Rutgers (4-0 and 4-1).
