Former South Carolina point guard Kory Holden will join the South Alabama basketball team as a graduate transfer, a source confirmed to AL.com.
The 6-foot-1 Holden will be immediately eligible to play for the Jaguars in 2018-19 as a fifth-year senior. He is USA's first commitment under new coach Richie Riley, who took over March 15.
Holden played in just 14 games for the Gamecocks in 2017-18 due to a hamstring injury. He averaged 3.4 points and 1.5 assists in 10.9 minutes per game off the bench.
Holden transferred to South Carolina after two outstanding seasons at Delaware.
