South Alabama will travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, for the NCAA baseball regionals.
The Jaguars (39-19) are the No. 3 seed in the Hattiesburg Regional and will face No. 2 seed at 6 p.m. Friday. No. 1 seeded host Southern Miss and No. 4 seed Illinois-Chicago are the other two teams in the regional.
South Alabama is in the NCAA regionals by virtue of winning the Sun Belt tournament championship over the weekend in Statesboro, Georgia. The Jaguars beat host Georgia Southern 7-6 in 10 innings in the title game Sunday, getting Brendan Donovan's walk-off RBI single to win the game.
