JONESBORO, Ark. | South Alabama fell behind early before falling to Arkansas State 7-2 at Tomlinson Stadium-Kell Field on Thursday night in Sun Belt Conference action.
Arkansas State (18-31, 8-19 SBC) got on the board with a pair of runs in the first on a pair of bases-loaded walks. South Alabama (23-29, 11-17 SBC) was able to trim the lead down to one at 3-2 in the fourth before the Red Wolves scored four unanswered to push the lead to 7-2.
Hunter Donaldson led South Alabama at the plate, finishing 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Austin Thrasher finished 2-for-4.
