MOBILE, Ala.- The South Alabama women's basketball team dropped a close contest to Arkansas State in the Mitchell Center Saturday afternoon in a 71-82 final.
The opening quarter swung in the direction of the Jaguars to begin as Rachel Leggett converted on a layup to put South ahead 6-3. The Red Wolves responded with a 15-4 run to take an 18-10 lead midway through the quarter.
