South Alabama has lost one senior defensive end for the 2018 season, but is fortunate in that there are two more at the same position.
Rocel McWilliams is out for the year with an Achilles tendon injury suffered in practice last week. What had been the most-experienced position on the team is now less so, although veterans Sean Grayer and Chason Milner remain to fortify the strong side of the defensive line.
"It was tough," Milner said. "We hate losing him. We're definitely going to miss him, and we have to make up for it. The young guys and everybody else are going to have to step up and make plays.
