A week after the South Alabama offense appeared to have the upper hand in the Jaguars' first scrimmage of fall camp, the USA defense got back on track in Saturday's second scrimmage.
The Jaguars' defense recorded stops on the first six possessions on a rainy Saturday morning at the outdoor practice facility, before the offense broke through with a 35-yard touchdown pass from Evan Orth to Jahmmir Taylor. South Alabama's defense recorded 18 tackles for loss and nine sacks, three of those by senior defensive end Chason Milner.
"The last scrimmage the defense came out a little slow, but today we came out and hit the offense in the mouth early," Milner said.
