South Alabama's 3-1 opening weekend sent the Jaguars climbing in the national college baseball polls.
The Jaguars moved to No. 21 in the Baseball America rankings released Tuesday, to No. 18 in the D1Baseball.com poll and stayed at No. 17 in the Collegiate Baseball rankings. South Alabama "received votes" in the Perfect Game rankings, but did not crack the Top 25. Rankings from USA Today and the National College Baseball Writers Association will be released later Monday.
South Alabama won its first three games in the 19th Annual Brittain Resorts Baseball at the Beach tournament in South Carolina, beating Kansas State 12-5 on Friday, then Oklahoma 5-4 and Virginia Tech 7-5 on Saturday.
