South Alabama basketball picked up a verbal commitment from Mississippi junior college guard Rodrick Sikes on Saturday.
Sikes, originally from Ocean Springs, Miss., averaged 22 points and 5.6 rebounds per game at Southwest Mississippi Community College in 2016-17. He averaged 19.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game as a senior at St. Martin High School in 2014-15.
Sikes, who also had offers from Central Michigan, Morehead State and Louisiana-Monroe among other schools, announced his commitment via Twitter:

The 6-foot-1 Sikes joins a South Alabama team that lost its top two backcourt scorers from last season, including leading scorer Ken Williams.
