South Alabama basketball coach Matthew Graves is out after five seasons, according to a report by ESPN.
USA is expected to make an official announcement later Thursday afternoon.
Graves went 65-96 overall and 36-58 in Sun Belt Conference play with the Jaguars, never finishing with a winning record. The Jaguars lost 69-62 to Troy in the first round of the Sun Belt tournament on Wednesday to finish 14-18 for the second straight year.
The 43-year-old Graves came to South Alabama with an excellent pedigree as an assistant coach, having served on the staff at mid-major powerhouse Butler for 13 years.
