South Alabama shot 68.2 percent in the second half and got 21 points from Ken Williams to defeat Jacksonville 71-58 Sunday at the Red Diamond Roundball Classic at the Mitchell Center.
After winning for the third time in three days, USA is 5-0 for the second time in school history. The 1983-84 Jaguars started 10-0 on the way to a 22-8 finish.
"It feels great," South Alabama coach Matthew Graves said. "It's the first time as a head coach that I've been 5-0, but again it's a credit to the coaching staff, the players, the trainer, the strength coach and the managers.
