South Alabama hit four home runs Tuesday night at Southeastern Louisiana, but that wasn't enough to prevent a third loss to the Lions this season.
SLU jumped out to a 6-run lead on the way to a 12-9 victory over USA in Hammond, Louisiana. The Lions (18-10) also beat the Jaguars (16-13) in Pensacola and in Mobile last month.
On Tuesday, Daniel Wasinger hit a grand slam in the third inning as part of Southeastern's early offensive fireworks. That blast came off USA starter Andy Arguelles (2-2), who gave up seven runs (five earned) in 3 1/3 innings to take the loss.
