SOCCER’S GODFREY INKS PRO DEAL WITH TOTTENHAM

MOBILE, Ala. – Former University of South Alabama soccer student-athlete Hannah Godfrey has signed a professional contract with Tottenham Hotspur Women, the club announced earlier today.

Godfrey, a three-time all-Sun Belt Conference honoree, joins the London-based club which is debuting in the Barclay's FA Women's Super League for the 2019-20 campaign.

The Thornton-Cleveleys, England native was also named the conference's defensive player of the year in 2017 and led the Jaguars to three NCAA Tournament appearances.

"It will be an honour to wear the shirt and be in an environment where everyone is excited for a huge season ahead," Godfrey told the team web site.
