FOLEY, Ala. – Three different University of South Alabama soccer players scored a goal as the Jaguars opened their exhibition season with a 3-0 victory over Alabama A&M Wednesday afternoon at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex.
GAME FACTS
- After scoreless first period, the Jaguars struck twice in a five-minute span in the second
- Freshman Brianna Mascia broke the scoreless deadlock off an assist from Briana Morris, and a short time later, senior Hannah Godfrey headed home a corner kick
- Sophomore Ana Helmert added the final tally in the third period
NOTES
- The teams played three 30-minute periods
- Helmert is the team's second-leading returning scorer; she had four goals and two assists last season
