The Reese's Senior Bowl returns to six quarterbacks this year after playing with eight in 2016, although Mobile's annual all-star game would have made room for Clemson QB Deshaun Watson had he decided to play.
With Ole Miss' Chad Kelly and Baylor's Seth Russell injured and Watson declining his invitation as a junior-eligible player, Senior Bowl Executive Director Phil Savage said this year's quarterback class was "not as strong, not as deep as last year's."
"Last year, there were 15 quarterbacks taken in the draft, and I knew it was going to be a very deep group," Savage said.
