ARLINGTON, Texas – Shaforia Kines poured in 28 points and the University of South Alabama women's basketball team limited host and No. 3 seed UTA to just four second-half field goals to rally for a 55-47 victory in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Wednesday at the College Park Center.
Kines was 7-of-13 from the field — making 5-of-8 shots from beyond the three-point arc — and converted 9-of-10 foul shots to lead the Jaguars (16-16) into the semifinals of the tournament, where they are scheduled to face second-seeded Coastal Carolina on Saturday. Antoinette Lewis supplied a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Kennedi Centers was credited with 10 boards as well for the Jags.
