JACKSONVILLE, Fla. | Just one year removed from an eighth-place finish, Kyle Rademeyer returns to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the pole vault after qualifying on Wednesday night at the NCAA East Preliminaries.
Rademeyer finished tied for seventh overall in the event with a clearance of 5.40 meters (17-08.50), finishing tied with Hunter Garretson of Akron. Keaton Daniel of Kentucky led all 12 qualifiers in the event, with the jump by Rademeyer finishing just 0.01 meters off the facility record.
Meanwhile, Kirami Yego advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 10,000-meters with a fifth-place finish in a time of 29:03.
