South Alabama dropped its third straight game on the road Saturday, falling 48-13 at Georgia Southern.
The loss dropped the Jaguars to 1-5 overall, 1-2 in the Sun Belt Conference. Georgia Southern is now 4-1, 2-0.
Shai Werts ran for two touchdowns and passed for another for Georgia Southern, which is 3-0 all-time vs. South Alabama. The Jaguars' lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run by Tra Minter in the fourth quarter.
