South Alabama snapped a three-game losing streak with a 45-7 victory over Alabama State at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Saturday.
The Jaguars (2-5) scored touchdowns on five straight possessions between the first and third quarters, scoring a season-high in points and allowing its fewest all year. Tra Minter led the way for the Jaguars with 230 all-purpose yards, plus a rushing touchdown and a punt return for a touchdown.
The lone touchdown for Alabama State (2-4) came on a 75-yard pass from KHA'Darris Davis to Tyrek Allen in the second quarter.
