South Alabama scored its first victory under head coach Steve Campbell on Saturday night, scoring 18 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to beat Texas State 41-31 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
The Jaguars (1-2, 1-0 Sun Belt) trailed 31-26 heading into the fourth quarter, but got two Evan Orth touchdown passes, a 2-point conversion and a 47-yard field goal to rally for the win. South Alabama also blocked a Texas State field goal in the final quarter.
