MOBILE, Ala. - Junior Sacha Perrier was voted Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year following his success this season in Cross Country.
Perrier placed third in the Sun Belt Championship on Friday to lead the men's team to a third place finish. Perrier set a personal best time of 24:34.9, besting his previous time set at the Georgia Tech XC Invitational (25:30.3).
Perrier was also awarded First Team All-Conference honors for his performance in Foley. After starting off the season strong with a win at the Azalea City Classic, Perrier placed second at the Georgia Tech XC Invitational.
