South Alabama landed its third 2019 football verbal commitment in two days on Thursday from Pensacola (Fla.) Pine Forest offensive lineman John Gill, AL.com has confirmed.
Gill (6-foot-4, 294 pounds) attended the Jaguars' prospect camp this week. He had a total of 13 scholarship offers according to the Pensacola News-Journal, a list that also includes Troy, Florida Atlantic and Georgia Southern.
"Coach Steve Campbell is a good guy and I was able to talk to him on the phone Thursday morning," Gill told the News-Journal. "At camp Wednesday, him and other coaches were pretty eager about getting me to go there.
