MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama softball freshman junior pitcher Haley Maynard recently sat down with USAJaguars.com to discuss what the fall season has been like for her, what teammate she looks up to and what her favorite memory is from her time playing softball, among other topics.
Maynard comes to South Alabama after transferring from Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tenn. As a sophomore with the Lady Pioneers, Maynard posted the second-lowest earned run average (2.48) on the club. She also had 41 strikeouts in 73.1 innings of work. Before her two-year career at VSCC, Maynard lettered at Upperman High School in Baxter, Tenn.
