CONWAY, S.C. – No. 23 Indiana defeated the 17th-ranked University of South Alabama baseball team 8-4 Sunday in the 19th Annual Brittain Resorts Baseball at the Beach tournament at Springs Brooks Stadium on the campus of Coastal Carolina.
IU (2-1) center fielder Logan Kaletha hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning to break a 4-4 tie and lift the Hoosiers over South Alabama (3-1).
The Jaguars will return to action Tue., Feb. 20, when they host No. 21 Southern Miss in the 2018 home opener at 6:30 p.m. at Stanky Field.
