MOBILE, Ala. – Nebraska defeated South Alabama baseball 15-3 Saturday at Eddie Stanky Field.
The Cornhuskers used a six-run seventh inning, in addition to a four-run second frame, to clinch the three-game series.
Nebraska right-hander Jace Kaminska (1-0) allowed three runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and one walk in 5 1/3 innings to earn his first win of the season. Jaguar left-hander (0-2) allowed five runs, only one of which was earned, with a career-high seven strikeouts against one walk in four innings pitched in the loss.
Jaguar second baseman went 2-for-5 with a double and one run scored, and added two hits and one run scored.
