OXFORD, Miss. – defeated the No. 84 ranked player in the country in Georgia Southern's Dimitris Paliouras, but South Alabama dropped its first road match of the 2025 season to Georgia Southern, 5-2, at Ole Miss' William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center.
The setback dropped South to 1-1 for the season.
Georgia Southern jumped out to a quick lead in doubles play with 6-3 and 6-1 victories at spots one and two. and were holding serve in the third spot, but saw their match go unfinished once the Eagles had clinched the doubles point.
