MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama men's basketball head coach Richie Riley announced the addition of Division ll transfer guard Brian Hawthorne Monday afternoon.
Hawthorne, a 6-foot-2 175-pound guard, joins the Jaguars after spending his first two seasons of collegiate basketball at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo. During the 2024-25 season, he averaged 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 45.3 percent from the field. Hawthorne made 28 starts, scoring double figures 21 times and 20 points or more eight times, including a 32-point career-high against Lewis College on Jan.
