MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama men's basketball team shot 69.6 percent and made 8 of 9 from 3-point land in the second half to come back from a 12-point deficit at halftime to defeat Troy 81-75 Saturday night at the Mitchell Center.
Five Jaguars reached double-digit points, led by junior Trhae Mitchell's 17 points – 14 in the second half – and five assists. Junior Josh Ajayi recorded his ninth double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Jaguars scored the first nine points of the second half and went on a 16-4 run, capped off with a steal and dunk from sophomore John Pettway to tie the contest at 46-46 just six minutes in.
