MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Jaguar right-hander Patrick McBride tossed a complete game to lead the University of South Alabama baseball team to a 13-0 mercy-rule win over Alabama State Tuesday at Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex.
McBride (1-2) allowed four hits and struck out five batters against one walk in seven innings to record his first win of the season. He faced the minimum over his final five innings pitched, and retired eight straight batters to end the game.
USA defeated ASU 14-2 in the resumed game that was suspended on Feb.
