BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sebastian Loschner smashed his own school record in the shot put, and several other athletes moved up the Jaguar record books as the South Alabama Track and Field program closed a dominant weekend at the South Alabama Invitational in Birmingham Sunday afternoon.
Loschner continued his impressive start to the season by breaking the indoor shot put record for the third time in his career, logging a throw of 18.15 meters (59 '6.75"), winning the competition and beating his previous record of 18.10 meters ( 59-3.75). Additionally, he moved into ninth place in the record books in the weight throw after posting a toss of 17.
