MOBILE, Ala. – Major Applewhite has announced the hiring of Jayden Everett as the football program's new running backs coach.
Everett arrives at South Alabama after one season at Michigan where he helped coach the team's running backs.
At Michigan, Everett mentored the duo of Kalel Mullings and Donovan Edwards who combined for 1,537 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns in 2024. Everett's leadership in the running back room helped Michigan close the year strong with consecutive wins over No. 2 Ohio State to close the regular season and No. 11 Alabama in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
