MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 13 seed South Alabama Jaguars open play at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., taking on the No. 12 seed Georgia State Panthers.
The teams met in the regular season in January, with Georgia State winning the matchup 66-57 in overtime.
The Jags (7-22, 3-15) went 1-1 in the final week of regular season play, dropping their contest against Georgia Southern but beating in-state rival Troy on a buzzer-beater by freshman Kelsey Thompson.
Georgia State (11-20, 5-13) dropped both games in their final week of play, falling to Coastal Carolina and Georgia Southern.
