JAGUARS’ LEWIS NAMED SUN BELT PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference office announced on Monday that the University of South Alabama's Antoinette Lewis has been named the league's women's basketball Player of the Week.

She was recognized after averaging a double-double with 15 points and 11.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 54 percent from the floor, and recording four blocks and two assists to lead the Jaguars to a pair of victories over Coastal Carolina.

It's the first time this year, and sixth occasion in her career, that Lewis has received the award.

In the first game between the two teams on Friday the senior posted 17 points and a season-best 15 rebounds for her first double-double since a visit to Auburn on Dec.
