LAFAYETTE, La. – The South Alabama women's basketball team fell short to Louisiana at the Cajundome Wednesday night in a 48-55 final.
The loss drops the Jaguars to 6-22 on the season with a 2-14 record in Sun Belt play.
The Jaguars offense got things rolling in the opening quarter as they pushed ahead to a 12-8 lead as connected on a triple at the 3:47 mark. The Jaguars exerted control for the remainder of the quarter with providing some valuable minutes off the bench as she helped give South the 18-12 lead after one with a free throw.
