BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – South Alabama women's tennis earned six wins in day one of the Samford Invitational – two doubles wins and four singles wins. The Jags went undefeated in singles.
The Jags played Middle Tennessee in singles and Samford in doubles.
Elysia Pool, Luminita Tutunaru, Tereza Dejnozkova and Otoha Aoki won their singles matches against MTSU. The doubles partners of Tutunaru and Dejnozkova and Caraline Scheufler with Cora Barber of Tulane won their doubles matchups.
South will face Tulane in doubles play and Samford in singles on Saturday.
