MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama head women's basketball Terry Fowler announced on Wednesday that Michiyah Simmons and Naomi Smiterman have signed a National Letter-of-Intent and will join the program in the fall.
Simmons is from Blanche Ely High School where she averaged 14.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 steals per game during her senior season. Her performance landed her on the Broward 7A-6A girls' basketball first team. Additionally, she led her team to the Class 6A regional finals as a point guard. Simmons was also named to the 2021 Nike Tournament of Champions All-Tournament team in the Joe Smith Division.
