MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 2 seed South Alabama Jaguars opens play at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., taking on the No. 10 seed Marshall Herd. The match will be the first ever meeting between the two teams.
South got a first round bye, while Marshall played on Monday night, defeating Appalachian State 2-1 in overtime.
The Jags are looking to complete the "four peat", by securing their fourth straight tournament title, and their ninth overall title.
South finished the regular season 6-1-3 in conference play, losing only to Arkansas State in the final game of the season.
