Box Score KENNESAW, Ga. – South Alabama women's soccer opened the 2022 season with a 2-1 victory over Kennesaw State Thursday night at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. The Owls scored the first goal of the game, but the Jaguars answered back with a pair of unanswered goals to pick up the win.
After a quiet first 40 minutes for both teams, Kennesaw State got on the board first when freshman Mai Jensen scored her first collegiate goal in the 41st minute. The Jags stunned the Owls with an equalizer, as Gracie Wilson tapped in a loose ball in the 42nd minute to even the match at 1-1.
