NEW ORLEANS, La. – South Alabama pole vaulter Kyle Rademeyer has been named the Sun Belt Indoor Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday morning.
Rademeyer cleared 5.48 meters (17 feet, 11.75 inches) at the Samford Invitational this past weekend, earning first place and breaking the previous meet record. The height is the fourth-highest in South Alabama history, as well as the top mark in the conference this season. Rademeyer owns the four highest clearances in school history, and seven of the top eight.
